Block Design Layout: Reliability Issues at Sub-block Level

Course Description:

These comprehensive courses are designed to equip engineers with the skills necessary for Block Design layout and dealing with most common reliability issues during physical design implementation. This covers topics such matching, block floorplanning, routing considerations, verification, and reliability issues along with their mitigation.

Learning Objectives

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Study Matching from theory to implementation
  • Explore reliability issues and methods to mitigate their effects at the sub-block level, including:
    • Latch-up
    • ESD
    • Antenna effects
    • Electromigration
    • IR drop
  • Implement up to second-level hierarchy sub-blocks placement, routing, and verification
    • Execute the implementation of sub-blocks with varying levels of complexity
    • Execute the implementation of sub-blocks in at least two different technologies
